Product Highlights

2011MY Tucson delivers design, versatility, safety, and up to 31 miles per gallon.

New for 2011MY

• 2.0L Theta II 4-cylinder engine introduced
   — Eco-efficient standard engine in the new
       Base GL trim
   — It is offered with a five-speed manual or
       six-speed automatic transmission
   — Engine output is 165 horsepower (2.4 has 176)        and 146 pound feet of torque (versus 168)
   — Distinguishable from 2.4L as the 2.0L will not
       have an engine cover
• GLS and Limited trims feature the 2.4L Theta II
engine delivering up to 31 MPG on the highway.

• Tucson's Electronic Stability Control System (ESC) is enhanced for 2011MY
   — When the vehicle is in an oversteer condition, the Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS)
system will apply steering torque in the direction of the skid, essentially helping the driver
       to countersteer.
   — Previously, when a vehicle brakes with one side having high traction and the other having
low traction, the vehicle tends to rotate in the direction of the high traction surface.
       — For 2011, Tucson's MDPS system applies steering torque to counter this reaction.
   — Drivers will always be able to override the system if they choose to.
